Sam was riding his bike along a trail near a campground. He suddenly came upon someone who was lying on the ground. He doesn’t seem to be moving.
List the correct sequence of steps to care for this person. See pgs. 576-577 in a textbook for help.
A. 1st – tilt the head, lift the chin
2nd – tap and shout, “Are you all right, are you okay?”
3rd – look, listen, feel for signs of life for 5-10 seconds
4th – if breathing, scan the body for severe bleeding
5th – (if no response) roll face-up supporting head and neck
B. 1st – tap and shout, “Are you all right, are you okay?”
