Why Do We Exist?
Our Commitment:
RJUHSD Therapeutic Intervention Program
Why Do We Exist?
- So that students who require additional supports emotionally and behaviorally can stay connected to a comprehensive campus and peers while getting the support they need.
- For students to continue to benefit from working with district trained staff and receive instruction in district adopted curriculum.
- For students to be able to benefit from being able to participate in school activities, sports and clubs.
- Teach district adopted curriculum.
- We teach the identified learning targets in each course.
- We use the same midterms and finals as the general education classes on the WHS campus.
- All students take the common assessments and must pass with a 70% in order to receive the credits.
- Students only receive credits in the core curricular area if they pass the class with participation and work completion as well as a passing grade on the common assessment.
- Students who do not pass may earn elective credits and retake the class.
Our Commitment:
- Clear school wide expectations with incentives and consequences.
- All students follow the same set of rules and expectations throughout all areas of the program.
- We recognize and celebrate successes.
- When students do not follow the rules and expectations, there are planned consequences to help them get back on track.
- Intervention when help is needed.
